Buster
Rogue · New Camp
"Ever heard of acrobatics? The art of controlling your body?"
Learning acrobatics
Buster approaches the Hero unprompted, judges him a little clumsy, and offers to teach acrobatics. He describes the skill as the art of controlling the body rather than a trick for show-offs.
The landing roll
Buster's first lesson is the landing roll. Mastering it lets the Hero jump from greater heights without breaking his ankles and carry farther across a gap, although Buster is careful to warn that the skill does not make anyone immortal.
Movement in a fight
The same technique has a use beyond travelling. Buster says a good roll can close distance or help the Hero escape danger faster, turning a fall into a controlled movement.
His teaching is practical from beginning to end: acrobatics matters because it keeps the body alive when the ground or an enemy gives way.
