Gor Na Ran

Templar · Swamp Camp

"I'd give those beasts a wide berth if I were you. They'll swallow you whole, and I mean it when I say that."

Watch in the swamp

Gor Na Ran is a templar on watch in the Swamp Camp, keeping the swampsharks away from the Brotherhood's people. He gives the Hero the kind of warning that comes from seeing the creatures as a duty rather than a curiosity: they can swallow a person whole, so a sensible traveller should keep clear.

Duty before conversation

Gor Na Ran has little patience for outsiders who stop him with questions. He calls the Hero an infidel, rejects the idea that the camp needs him looking around, and eventually decides to handle the interruption himself.

His hostility is consistent with his post: the templar is guarding a dangerous stretch of swamp, and he treats an uninvited visitor as a threat to be removed rather than a guest to be welcomed.
