The interrupted vigil

Varrag Hashor is an orc High Priest encountered in the middle of a vigil. His words arrive in broken pieces—who has disturbed him, then a warning to meet the end—suggesting that the Hero has interrupted something more inward and ceremonial than an ordinary guard duty.

A trespasser in the vigil

Hashor does not explain the vigil or the temple around him. He reacts to the Hero's presence as a trespass, while the Hero answers that the real question is whose end is coming.

That brief exchange is all the surviving conversation establishes, but it gives Hashor a different presence from the priests who describe their powers: he is defined by trance, ritual, and a threat spoken through it.
