Baal Isidro
Novice · New Camp
"Got a pissload of swampweed to sell, and I'm way behind."
The harvester's burden
Baal Isidro is a Brotherhood member tasked with selling swampweed in the New Camp. He admits that he has fallen behind and cannot muster the energy to work, calling the task exhausting.
When the Hero notices his tattoos, Isidro jokes that his subtle markings gave him away, but the tattoos also make his allegiance plain.
Kagan's deadline
When the Hero warns him that Baal Kagan wants to replace him, Isidro panics. He knows the herbs have to be sold and that his place in the arrangement depends on producing results, even if he would rather sit at the lake tavern than chase buyers through the camp.
Selling the batch
When the Hero offers to sell the herbs for a cut, Isidro is suspicious, accusing him of being a crook he can smell from a mile away. He eventually hands over the goods, estimating that they should fetch around four hundred nuggets and offering to split the result evenly.
He does not know the buyers himself; if he did, he says, he would have sold the batch already.
A successful sale
Once the Hero returns with Isidro's two hundred nuggets, Isidro is delighted. He laughs that Baal Kagan can now piss right off,
treating the payment as more than a business result—it is proof that he has bought himself a little more time before the Brotherhood replaces him.
What other NPCs say
Lares raises Baal Isidro's name while looking for a valuable pile of swampweed worth hundreds of nuggets. The point is not simply that Isidro sells a commodity: he is one of the Brotherhood members whose stock, location, and connections make the camp's informal trade worth exploiting.
