Fortuno

Novice · Swamp Camp

"You get a ration of three every day, if you want more, you'll have to pay."

A welcome and a ration

Fortuno greets newcomers in the Swamp Camp with three rolls of fresh swampweed, calling the black sage good stuff. The gift is a welcome and a ration at the same time: the Brotherhood expects a new arrival to know how its daily distribution works.

The daily ration

Every person receives three rolls a day. Fortuno refuses a second handout on the same day, telling the Hero to return tomorrow or pay for more.

He is friendly while giving the gift, but he keeps the boundary firmly in place once the ration has been claimed.

Herbs from the wild

Fortuno also buys other herbs and berries the Hero finds while travelling outside the camp. His trade gives the Brotherhood a small connection to the wider swamp: plants gathered during dangerous work can become another source of ore, while Fortuno remains responsible for turning the camp's supply into something people can use.

What other NPCs say

Joru, Lester, and Theron point to Fortuno's shop while discussing errands, the Brotherhood's daily business, and the route beneath Cor Kalom's laboratory. His name functions as a landmark as much as a character reference, showing how the merchant's position anchors a busy part of the swamp camp.
