Outcome

Ghorim gets his break and Baal Orun recognizes that you helped a Brotherhood worker.

Two days at the mortar

Ghorim has been mashing swampweed for two days because Harlok never showed up to take over. He cannot simply walk away: Baal Orun is watching the workers, and the herbs will not prepare themselves while he argues. The complaint is ordinary camp labor, but the exhaustion behind it is real.

Harlok is in his hut beneath Cor Kalom's laboratory, asleep while another man carries his shift. The hero can try to reason with him or provoke him into moving. Either way, the task is not about finding a rare ingredient; it is about forcing an absent worker to acknowledge the obligation he has left behind.

A small act noticed by the camp

When Harlok finally relieves Ghorim, the change is modest: one worker gets to rest and the work continues. Baal Orun nevertheless treats it as evidence that the outsider will stand up for a brother in need. That judgment becomes the bridge to a more important assignment, sending the hero to collect fresh swampweed for Cor Kalom's experiments.

The quest shows how reputation is built in the Brotherhood. The hero earns notice not by delivering a grand speech or winning a ritual, but by seeing an exhausted worker and taking his complaint seriously. In a camp organized around service, compassion can be recognized as proof of belonging.
