Route

  • Baal Orun sends you into the swamp to collect the harvest for Cor Kalom. Pick up Balor's yield, then cross to the other side for Viran's.
  • Viran does not trust a stranger with his stock. Kill every bloodfly in the nearby area to prove yourself before he hands it over.
  • Bring the complete harvest to Cor Kalom. A partial load makes him assume you sold the missing sheaves.

The labor behind the Brotherhood's faith

Baal Orun sends the hero to collect the daily swampweed harvest, but the work carries more weight than a simple delivery. The novices are pushing themselves to produce enough for the Brotherhood's own needs and for trade with the other camps. Their faith may give the labor meaning, but the camp still depends on every sheaf being cut, gathered, and carried back.

Balor hands over his portion readily. Viran is more guarded because a stranger can easily claim to be working for Orun, take the stock, and disappear. He makes the hero earn the right to touch his harvest by clearing the bloodflies around the pickers. The test turns a spoken order into visible proof of loyalty.

A complete harvest in a suspicious camp

Cor Kalom expects the full load and treats missing sheaves as evidence that someone sold them. His suspicion is revealing: the Brotherhood's internal work is tied to the same scarcity and private trading that shape every other camp. Even a religious community must police its supplies because its experiments and its business compete for the same crop.

When the delivery succeeds, Orun rewards the hero with a sleep scroll. The gift is useful but temporary, fitting the nature of the job. The harvest has not solved the Brotherhood's larger pressures; it has simply kept the camp supplied for another day and shown that the newcomer can be trusted with work on which many people depend.
