Route

  • Cor Kalom sends a full swampweed shipment to Gomez in the Old Camp. Tell the guards Kalom sent you if you need entry.
  • Take the delivery to Bartholo, not Gomez. Raven points him out as the provisioner; Scorpio says he is in the main tower, while Thorus directs you to the ore barons' house.
  • Do not sell any of the shipment. Bartholo refuses a partial delivery and pays the agreed 500 nuggets only for the complete load. Bring that payment back to Cor Kalom.

A shipment across enemy lines

Cor Kalom's order sends the hero from the Swamp Camp into the territory of the Old Camp's ore barons. The herbs are meant for Gomez, but the guards do not treat the courier as an automatic guest. Kalom's name is the pass, and even that pass only gets the hero through the gate to the people who handle the castle's supplies.

The delivery chain reveals how carefully the Old Camp separates power from labor. Raven, Scorpio, and Thorus all point the hero toward Bartholo, while Gomez remains above the business of receiving goods personally. Bartholo is the provisioner; he is the one who checks the shipment and decides whether it is complete.

The value of a complete load

Bartholo pays five hundred nuggets only when every part of the shipment arrives. Selling even some of the swampweed would make the delivery unacceptable, because the castle has already counted on the full quantity. The hero is carrying not just herbs but a promise between rival camps, and a partial promise is treated as a failure.

Returning the payment to Cor Kalom closes the exchange, but it does not make the relationship friendly. Kalom is interested in the result, not the danger of the journey. The hero's work briefly keeps the camps connected through trade, showing that even factions moving toward open conflict still depend on one another's supplies.
