Outcome

A spy inside the Swamp Camp
Raven's assignment begins with the Old Camp's suspicion of the Brotherhood. The camps trade with one another, but trade does not equal trust, especially while Y'Berion's people talk about a ritual that could change their future. Caine is Raven's novice informant, and the hero is asked to collect his latest report without exposing the connection.
The mission requires the hero to act as a quiet observer inside a camp where every guard watches outsiders. Cor Kalom is already irritated that his apprentice has not appeared, while the templars question why a Shadow or bandit wants to speak with him. The Old Camp's information network depends on moving through those suspicions without making them worse.
When the report becomes a body
Caine is not waiting to deliver news. His visions led him to a tomb in the Abandoned Mine, where an undead orc killed him. The amulet found with him is the only physical remnant of what drew him there, and Raven immediately understands that it may be more valuable than the report he expected.
Raven sends the hero to Cor Kalom with the amulet and the account of Caine's vision. The Brotherhood is hungry for a sign, and the object may give the hero a way into its confidence. The spy's mission has become an offering to the people he was meant to observe.
The danger of information without understanding
The Old Camp wanted to know what Y'Berion was preparing, but the answer is inseparable from the beliefs driving the novices. Caine's death shows how quickly a political investigation can be pulled into the supernatural crisis surrounding the colony. Raven can reward the information, yet neither he nor the hero can control what the Brotherhood will do once the amulet reaches Kalom's hands.
