  • I gotta find that amulet.:

Outcome

The route ends once you reach the amulet with Grim.

A bargain made under the warders' shadow

Grim's offer begins with a betrayal. He works for Bloodwyn and leads the hero toward the amulet, but his cooperation is not driven by loyalty. Grim is trying to avoid the mines by placing himself on the warders' side, accepting their protection because the alternative is the labor every prisoner fears.

His explanation does not excuse the ambush, but it gives the encounter a familiar shape. Grim is making the same calculation many prisoners make: obey the people with weapons, even when obedience means turning on someone else. In the Old Camp, survival often arrives disguised as a choice between two kinds of submission.

Following the traitor

The hero can continue with Grim or use the meeting to settle the score. Cooperation treats the amulet as the destination and Grim as a compromised guide; retaliation turns the journey into a reckoning over the way he first handled the hero. Neither route changes the fact that Bloodwyn's influence reaches into the lives of people who want no part of his politics.

The quest's consequence is therefore less about the object than about the judgment made along the way. Grim's warning that no one should cross a warder is also an admission of how the camp functions: fear is not a side effect of its order, but one of the tools that keeps prisoners in line.
