Outcome
The route resolves Stone and Darrion's rivalry while paying for the weapon work.
A sword at the center of a rivalry
Stone wants to reproduce a unique Templar war sword, but the design already belongs to Darrion, his former master. The blade carried by Gor Na Zar has a curved crossguard, engravings along the fuller, a spiral grip with a steel core, and a red stone in the pommel that balances the weapon. Every feature is part of the craft Darrion believes Stone has taken without permission.
The hero becomes the only person who has seen both men's work up close. That makes the request more than a search for a weapon. Stone wants a way to prove he can make the sword, while Darrion wants the hero to understand what was borrowed and decide whether the debt can be balanced.
Craft, copying, and ownership
The hero can examine the original, learn the design from Darrion, or forge a convincing blade independently. Each route changes the relationship between the two smiths. Stone is capable and practical, but Darrion still sees his former student's success as an appropriation of his art rather than a continuation of it.
The dispute carries the colony's usual tension between survival and principle. In a prison where everyone is a thief or a murderer, Darrion still believes a craft can be violated. Stone believes a useful weapon should be made and sold. The hero's choices decide whether the blade is treated as evidence, inheritance, or property.
The weapon's second life
When Stone accepts the work, the hero is paid and the immediate rivalry is settled enough for the forge to continue. But the story leaves a sharper implication behind: knowledge in the colony is never neutral. A design can feed a camp's defenses, increase a smith's status, or become the reason one craftsman refuses to forgive another.
