Graham
Digger · Old Camp
"That'll be twenty nuggs."
The mapmaker
Graham is the Old Camp's mapmaker, selling knowledge of the wilderness on paper. He admits that mapping the Colony is difficult and says that even the routes he knows were improved by good hunters such as Cohsel, whose scavengers take him farther than most people can travel.
Diego's map
When the Hero says Diego sent him for a map to the Old Mine, Graham recognises the connection and offers the map for twenty nuggets. He calls that a good price because a map like it takes time and paper; under ordinary circumstances he would ask fifty.
Paper and pressure
Graham says paper is scarce, and every blank sheet he sells is one he cannot use to make another map. He refuses to pretend that Diego's promise makes the work free, though he backs down when the Hero threatens to take the map instead of paying.
His trade sits between practical expertise and the Colony's everyday scarcity.
Quest involvement
- Test of Faith: For the route, get a map from Graham beside the north gate. Graham could give me a map.
- The Price of Magic: Graham sells blank paper; Fisk may point you to it for a few nuggets.
What other NPCs say
Diego and Fisk send the Hero to Graham when he needs a map or a better sense of the surrounding routes. Their advice frames Graham as more than a shopkeeper: his cartography turns the Colony's confusing geography into information the Hero can use for the next assignment.
