The supply-list test appears in both early admission routes. Diego uses the direct hand-in to judge a possible Old Camp recruit, while Lares turns the same list into the altered-document step for New Camp admission.

Route

  • Diego's test is to get Ian's Old Mine supply list. Use the countersign: the crawlers look mighty hungry. Asking Ian normally gets you nowhere.
  • For the route, get a map from Graham beside the north gate. He charges nuggets unless you force the issue.
  • The direct route is to bring the list back to Diego for Old Camp progress. If you are pursuing admission to the New Camp, show the list to Lares first: he adds a couple of false entries and sends you back to Diego as if nothing happened.
  • After the altered-list hand-in, report back to Lares. That branch is part of the New Camp admission chain.

Outcome

This is a shared supply-list job, not an Old Camp-only task. Returning the untouched list to Diego earns Old Camp progress. Letting Lares alter it before the hand-in earns New Camp progress and sets up the convoy raid.

A test disguised as an errand

Diego calls the job simple, but the supply list is a measure of whether the hero can be trusted with information. Ian will not hand it to anyone who asks. The countersign proves that the request comes through the right channel, and the list reveals what the Old Mine needs to keep producing ore.

Even reaching Ian requires navigating the controlled route from the Old Camp to the mine. Graham keeps a map beside the north gate and expects payment, while the hero has to decide how much of the camp's small economy to spend on access. Every step turns a routine delivery into a lesson in who is allowed to know what.

Information worth protecting

Diego warns that the New Camp must not get hold of the list on the direct Old Camp route. The reason is not merely secrecy for its own sake: the Old Camp plans to send the listed supplies in a convoy, and knowing what will be on it lets others predict when and where the camp is vulnerable. The New Camp route deliberately turns that warning against him: Lares takes the list, adds false items, and feeds it back into the convoy plan.

Returning the list earns the hero a place in Diego's confidence and opens one of two faction routes. The test of faith is really a test of discretion—whether the newcomer can carry a secret through a hostile colony, or quietly redirect it to another camp's advantage.
