Outcome

Lares moves you into the Raid once the list is delivered.

Paperwork as a weapon

Lares's special assignment begins with a document that looks harmless: Ian's list of supplies for the Old Mine. The New Camp cannot simply attack every shipment without warning, so Lares wants to know what the Old Camp is sending and then make the convoy more attractive. A few false additions turn routine paperwork into bait.

The hero must carry the altered list to Diego and behave as if nothing has happened. Diego notices enough to say the work could have been better, but he accepts the list. His reaction leaves a thin layer of uncertainty over the operation: the deception has worked, but not so cleanly that the hero can forget who is being fooled.

From errand-runner to conspirator

Lares is open about what the list is for once it has served its purpose. The New Camp plans to intercept one of Gomez's convoys on the road to the mine and take the goods before they arrive. The hero's contribution is not the violence of the raid; it is the information that makes the raid worth attempting.

Delivering the list changes the hero's place in Lares's eyes. A newcomer who once performed favors is now trusted with a piece of the camp's strategy. The implication is larger than the coming ambush: resistance in the colony is built from small acts of misdirection that let a weaker faction choose when and where to strike.
