Baal Lukor is one of the Brotherhood's most fervent believers. After the Great Awakening fails and Yberion dies, he refuses to accept that the vision has exposed a danger. He believes the Sleeper is now near and persuades himself that the Hero's presence is the reason the revelation has not come to him.
The orc graveyard
Lukor leads the search into the old tunnels and the orc graveyard, examining pieces of an orcish keystone and pushing on whenever a passage proves false. He interprets each obstacle as a test and tells the Hero that a second piece must exist. His conviction becomes more desperate as the search closes in on the mural and the evidence of what the orcs summoned.
Faith turned against the Hero
When the truth conflicts with his belief, Lukor turns on the Hero. He dismisses Yberion's death as a mind too weak for the Sleeper and treats every warning as proof that someone else has failed the faith. The search ends with Lukor broken by that refusal, leaving Cor Angar to face what has happened to him.
Lukor's search also explains why he cannot accept the Hero's account once the mural is found. Admitting that the Sleeper was summoned to destroy humanity would undo the meaning he has given to every vision and every sacrifice. His madness is inseparable from that attempt to preserve belief against evidence.
What other NPCs say
Lester mentions Baal Lukor alongside other novices suffering headaches and strange dreams, while Cor Angar describes what happened after Lukor's vision. His name returns when the Hero is trying to understand the focus-stone crisis, making him one of the clearest personal examples of its effect on the Brotherhood. Cor Angar describes the turning point plainly: “Something got into Baal Lukor after the vision,” after which the novice ran toward the same dangerous place.
