The Dreamer's Nightmare

Route
- After you enter the inner Sleeper Temple and find Uriziel, take the sword to Xardas. He identifies it as the old Avatar weapon, drained after the orcs used its gems for their barrier.
- Recover the five gems from the temple and return them to the sword's insets. Then ask Milten to help Xardas's blue-ore transfer spell recharge Uriziel.
- Saturas will oppose using the ore pile, so this is the point where the Water Mage route can turn hostile.

Outcome
Recharged Uriziel is the weapon or rune needed for the Sleeper endgame.
A weapon found at the end of a nightmare
The sword Uriziel is discovered inside the inner temple, but its history reaches back to a war long before the hero entered the Colony. Xardas identifies it as the weapon of an Avatar of Innos who fought the orcs and fell in battle. The orcs did not destroy it; they removed its gemstones and turned its power into the barrier that protected their temple.
That history makes the sword more than a powerful relic. It is a weapon of the old conflict, preserved by the people it once threatened and emptied of strength by the spell that kept their sanctuary safe. Finding it means the hero has reached the past, but using it requires undoing what the orcs built around it.
Restoring the old power
The five gemstones remain scattered through the temple. Returning them to the sword's insets awakens some of its magic, but a thousand years of maintaining the barrier have consumed most of what was left. Xardas's answer is to draw energy from the New Camp's stockpile of blue ore.
Milten must help cast the transfer spell, joining the surviving Fire Mage to the dark scholar who understands Uriziel's history. Saturas opposes sacrificing the ore, turning the restoration into a conflict with the Water Mages whose own plan depends on that reserve. The hero is asking one desperate solution to make way for another.
The blade at the edge of the end
Recharging Uriziel provides the weapon—or the magical form of it—needed to face the Sleeper's final threat. The process also shows how every faction's work has become entangled. Orcish defenses, Fire Mage knowledge, Water Mage resources, and Xardas's forbidden expertise all meet in one sword.
The hero does not simply recover a legendary weapon. They decide whether an old power can be turned against the being whose awakening has already broken the colony's faith and alliances.
