Quest Parts

  • Joining the Templars:
  • I'm supposed to scatter Y'Berion's ashes.:
  • I can return to Cor Angar now.:

Outcome

The burial completes your promotion to Templar.

A final duty to Y'Berion

Cor Angar's request is a burial, but the body of the task is a choice about what the Brotherhood should remember. Y'Berion dedicated his life to uniting the camp, and Cor Angar wants his ashes taken to a final resting place even as the faction begins to split around them. The old tree and the graveyard offer different places for the same act of respect.

The burial is not allowed to pass peacefully. Kalom's followers call Y'Berion a heretic and an impostor, treating the dead leader as an enemy rather than a master. Their hostility shows how far the Sleeper's influence has begun to reshape the camp: even the memory of the man who built its unity is now contested.

The meaning of the armor

Cor Angar is less interested in whether the hero encountered resistance than in whether Y'Berion was laid to rest. He sees unity and willpower as the source of the Templars' strength, and the hero's act proves a willingness to serve that principle. The armor collected from Gor Na Toth is therefore not simply a promotion reward.

To become a Templar here is to choose Cor Angar's endangered vision of the Brotherhood over the faction gathering around Kalom. The hero enters the ranks at the moment their shared purpose is under the greatest strain, carrying a duty to protect a community whose faith is no longer pulling everyone in the same direction.
