- I should be at the temple square at night.:
- I should go see Y'Berion.:
Outcome
Attending the ceremony advances the main Swamp Camp story.
The night the Brotherhood has been promised
The minecrawler eggs are not simply the reward for a dangerous expedition. Their ichor is the missing ingredient in Cor Kalom's dreamjuice, the elixir the Brotherhood believes will open its minds to the Sleeper. When Y'Berion learns that the source has been found, he sets the Great Awakening for that very night.
The speed of the preparation reveals the camp's state of mind. Months or years of visions and expectation have led to a single ceremony, and the discovery of the eggs gives the gurus what they need to turn hope into a schedule. The hero, who is still not fully one of them, is invited to witness the moment because of everything done to make it possible.
Temple Square after dark
The final instruction is simple but important: be at Temple Square after nightfall and return to Y'Berion. The waiting is part of the experience. The camp gathers its people, the elixir is prepared, and the ordinary work of the swamp gives way to a ceremony that claims the attention of everyone who has put their faith in the Sleeper.
The hero arrives as both participant and outsider. The Brotherhood sees the journey to the nest as evidence that the Sleeper chose this newcomer, while the hero has seen enough of the colony to know that faith can be mixed with ambition, fear, and political need.
A promise about to become history
The Great Awakening is the point where the Brotherhood's private belief becomes a public act. The temple square is no longer only a place for sermons or preparation; it is the stage on which the camp expects its master to speak. Whatever follows will change the Brotherhood's leadership, its relationship with the other camps, and the hero's place in the struggle around the Barrier.
