Outcome
This begins the full Focus Stones collection route for the Barrier ritual.
After the promised awakening
Saturas meets the hero after the Great Awakening fails, carrying the news that Y'Berion is dead and the Brotherhood's certainty has collapsed into a more troubling truth. The ritual did not remove the Barrier, and the being the Brotherhood worships is not the savior they believed him to be.
Saturas does not treat the failure as the end of the colony's chance. He asks how the hero recovered the first focus stone—something the Water Mages have been unable to reach because of its deadly forcefield—and recognizes that the old plan can be rebuilt around the hero's unusual connection to the stones.
A plan assembled by former rivals
Four more stones are scattered across the Colony, so Saturas points the hero toward people who know the different routes: Diego, Gorn, Lester, and Milten. The Water Mages provide the purpose, but the expedition belongs to all the camps. The map and the teleport rune turn a desperate idea into a coordinated search.
The plan also changes what the hero's earlier work means. The focus recovered for Y'Berion is no longer a tool for the Brotherhood's awakening; it is the first piece of a ritual intended to tear down the prison that holds everyone. A failed religious ceremony has made room for a coalition built around a shared need for freedom.
Freedom as the new center
Saturas tells the hero that their freedom depends on the search. The statement raises the stakes beyond membership or faction reputation: each recovered stone is a part of the only remaining plan that might change the Colony's condition.
The Water Mages' plan is therefore a turning point. It gathers the knowledge of old ruins, the strength of fighters, and the surviving Fire Mage's magic into one effort, while the hero becomes the person capable of carrying the pieces back together.
